Happy Birthday Zarley

Happy Birthday Zarley. Seven years ago I had Zarley, a few days earlier than we expected and everything about her has been a little more then we have expected ever since and I don't think it is going to change anytime soon. My contractions with Zarley started early in the morning but I kept going about my day cleaning and doing laundry, Mike kept bugging me, maybe we should go to the hospital and I kept putting it off. My contractions had become irregular but they were pretty intense, I finally decided to put Mikes mind at ease seeing it was a first for him and I called the Dr. the on call Dr. said to lay down and relax and they would either go away or increase and become more regular, so I laid down on our bed while Mike laid next to me Watching the Rams in some playoff game. Not 10 minutes after getting off the phone with the Dr. my water broke, I sat up quickly (well as quickly as a 9mo pregnant person can sit up). I said to Mike I think my water just broke, or I peed my pants. To this he responded, Get OFF the bed, your on my side hurry get off the bed. I stood up and sure enough more water came out. SO I told him it was now time to go. He started rushing around yelling for Winter to get ready to go, we jumped in the car and drove all the way to St. Marks where my parents met us to take Winter. We did all the check in stuff they checked me all out called my Dr. did the whole hospital thing and then at about 6:29 or 6:39 (horrible mother not sure on the time exactly right now)We had Zarley, side note while in the O.R. Mike feels it a good time to tell me he can't believe I couldn't wait for the game to be over, it was the playoffs you know. Can you believe him? It took us the whole hospital stay to decide on her name, I was in the wheel chair and the nurse was impatiently waiting for us to sign the birth certificate. Zarley Elizabeth Howard. 7lbs 4oz. She was so adorable, and very much worth the wait we had to endure to get her.
She dances to the beat of her own drum.
But don't let this angelic face fool you.

Because this girl is a Fire Cracker. It is her way or no way.

She doesn't give in she knows what she wants and doesn't settle for anything less.
She has definitely kept life interesting over the last 7 years. It seems like it has gone by so fast. She was such a cute chubby little baby and she just gets more beautiful the older she gets. Right now I can find her stubborn, non negotiable self a bit challenging, I am sure all those qualities will take her far in life. If and When she sets her mind to something she does it and it seems to be as simple as that. She decides to do it therefore it will be done. I love listening to her play and she can be so funny. I am loving watching her grow up and can't wait to see where life takes her.

Happy Birthday Zar Zar We love you!
